A Historic past!
In the 6th Century, Count Attila, the Lord of Pagus, gave the lands of Bouzy to Saint-Basles. Rapidly the reputation of this wine, produced from grapes grown on a south-facing hillside, crossed the Reims Mountain.
That's how the best wines from Bouzy were regulary served with all banquets to crown our Kings of France in Reims.
Wines from Bouzy appeared in the inventory cellar-book of Louis the Sixteenth in Versailles. Therefore, these wines are still considered as exceptional even today.
